Chongqing Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant that has strived to provide the best quality Szechuan style food in Vancouver for over 20 years.
With 4 locations in the Greater Vancouver area, Chongqing is planning to develop a mobile app to provide a better offline experience.
Chongqing Restaurant has started outlining the app with some initial interfaces. However, they were lack of personality and failed to represent Chongqing Restaurant’s exceptional in-site experience.
Chongqing also designated a few features in this app:
Order takeout or delivery food
Collect and redeem points
Reload store credits
Display and redeem coupons
Save signed-in customers’ information
Customized dishes by sizes and flavours
The redesign of Chongqing Restaurant’s mobile app received immediate approval upon the first submission from the project manager and the client. They appreciated the simple yet pleasant aesthetic as well as the intuitive interaction. From this project, I learned that having a clear understanding of the stakeholders’ expectation is essential in delivering projects in a productive manner.
